Oh man, Black Friday sales are making me go wild!
The temptation to shop is too great to resist.
The shopping fever started yesterday midnight and I had this crazy idea to tick off everything from my wishlist all in one day.
What would you call that if not crazy?!
So I paid for the Nume curling wands set which was on sale and top on my wishlist
($110.39 incl. shipping and tax) BEFORE I WENT TO BED.
Then, I woke up and received emails from Romwe, Yesstyle, Unidays, Asos, Choies etc
reminding me of Black Friday sales, s if I need any reminding.
So I went on a proper online shopping spree and bought myself a button down denim a-line skirt, a suede fringe skirt, a pleather skirt/shorts, more basics,
v-neck white shirt, a few off-the-shoulder crop tops, some graphic tees and a denim jacket.
**slaps my head **lots of sighing **checks bank account
Any regrets?? NOPE!
I am one of those people who just can't return items once I bought them- cause I take very little time to grow attached to them.
But, if you think I'm gonna stop there, NOT A CHANCE!
There's still some items in my wishlist left to shop for:
-an epilator (i'm itching to try one of this but am currently searching for a good one)
-nyx yogurt stick (something my fashion guru, Jennim from Clothes Encounter used a lot in her vlogs)
-a matte lipstick (haven't quite decided on the colour I want yet)
-a complete set of makeup brushes
-a nice pair of lace-up sandals
-a comfortable pair of camel mules
-a snapback and fedora hat
-get my hair trimmed and dyed (I've been putting this off for awhile now)
**signs of shopping addiction anyone?

有时候在房里夜深人静的时候。。我会一个人静静的默想
当我不在的时候。。有没有人会想起我。。有没有人挂念我
而别人记忆里的我又是怎样的一个人呢?

If anyone knows me enough,
they will understand what makes up a good day for me.
FOOD and MOVIE.. the perfect combination, ALWAYS!!
They are probably not the most productive thing to be doing,
but hey, who says an interest have to productive all the time?
Well, I have always believed that a nice, big bowl of hotpot and the cold weather
go very well together.
So, Kerrine and I decided to go all out and have a hotpot buffet instead at Happiness 2 in Chinatown.
Well, you can see that she's a true friend of a foodie.
This egg tart is DIVINE!! I ate 3 and a half of these...
After stuffing ourselves to the brim, we left the restaurant,
my mouth still stuffed with egg tart.
Kerrine and I parted ways.
I decided to go for a movie on my own for the first time ever (bucket list checked).
And of course, what else but the newly released hunger games: Mockingjay Part 2.
Mockingjay Part 2 was definitely more dynamic than the last movie.
It got emotional towards the end and being a crybaby,
I teared up several times in the cinema.
The experience of watching a movie in the cinema alone was not bad at all.
I can definitely myself doing this again.
Someone once told me that when you start enjoying yourself
even when you're doing things on your own,
it's a sign that you are maturing.
I don't know if that's true or if that's
just a sign of me getting used to the daily loneliness?
Being in the UK for almost 5 years now,
though I've been most fortunate to have a bunch of great friends with me all the time,
I can't deny that there have been many instances when I've felt really lonely.
Slowly, I noticed that I've gotten used to going to school alone, being home alone,
taking the train/bus alone, going to town alone, eating alone and
just literally, doing all kinds of things alone.
Is this a sign of self-independence or social withdrawal?
Would someone be able to tell me?

Erm.. finally made the decision to delete my old blog.
Well, can't say I'm attached to it as I haven't been maintaining it for the past 4 years at least..
The blog was created last out of curiousity and
just to try my hands on something new.
just to try my hands on something new.
Before clicking the button to delete the blog,
I was dragged into a whirlpool of embarassment from reading all the old blog posts
from when I was still 18/19 years old.
I mean, come on! Who writes those things !??
(and it was the time when I was into some weird
typing habits)...
Oh well, I guess I should just take that positively and
assume that I've changed in terms of my mentality,
if not physically ( I'm still kinda short you see ).

I was up and about at 7.30 this morning and
the room was still dark and gloomy.
I had goosebumps the instant I got out of bed.
With my eyes half-opened, I walked towards the bathroom, brushed my teeth,
braved through the whole washing-face-with-ice-cold-water process and went on to
apply layers and layers of cold, liquid-y/ gel-like facial products on my face before
strategically layering myself with cami, thermal wear, leggings, thick socks,
sweater, my all-time fav scarf and
a good, old dependable coat.
AND OFF I WENT TO SCHOOL!!! in the dark of course....
and so the day went on and I came out of the dental hospital...
what welcomed me next was a blast of chilly air and faint lights from the nearby lamp post..
THIS WAS DEPRESSING esp after a long, tiring day
This got me thinking.. DO I LIKE/ DISLIKE WINTER?
this is what winter is to most people from my home country...

well although the lovely, snow-covered scenery is what I look forward to..
in UK, what I experienced in winter most of the days is like this..
Now, I can't decide if it's mostly the school part that I hate or the dark, gloomy streets..
but I can say that in summertime,
going and coming back from school feels lots more different
and I wake up happier everyday.
So, I don't dislike winter, but
I would sincerely wish for more snow and less dark, rainy days this winter =)

Well, most of you probably wouldn't know,
but I'm currently a final year dental student.
Being more and more like a dental nerd each day,
all I ever talk about recently revolves around dentistry
(and I'm getting freaked out about this).

Anyways, dental student life is starting to get a little too dull for my liking.
It seems like a neverending list of history taking, extractions, drilling, fillings,
scaling, non-stop nagging of toothbrushing techniques, crowns and root canals....
when FINALLY, I'm having something a little different today.
I am administering 'happy gas' to patients for the first time in my life!!
I can assure you, it's not as straightforward as putting an alien-looking nosepiece onto patients,
the key is to talk nonsense without pausing, in a hypnotic tone.
Whilst shadowing my clinician today, I was dumbstruck
when she extracted a baby tooth in less than a minute.
Ermmm.......
when will I be as good as that?
Wish that time comes soon.....
The week has just started and I can see myself enjoying this a lot already.
From a very awed and excited dentist in the making
