Homebound in 4 days
13:25I can't believe there's only 4 more days till I go home to Malaysia!
There's nothing happier than sorting out things to bring home, shopping for souvenirs, strategically doing my laundry to aid my packing and crossing out dates on the calendar =D !!
Well, I have always had trouble thinking of things to buy for people I love when I go home and these are the reasons why:
(i) I always think too much and ended up not buying anything, the constant struggle between buying something representative of UK or something useful or something I like...
(ii) my parents and siblings never wanted anything and I will always feel really guilty when I don't get them anything but get loads of souvenirs for my friends.. (it makes feel like I'm neglecting my family)
(iii) buying things for one person and missing out another person ( feels obligated to give everyone I like something but then unable to do so, not enough luggage space as well)
By the time I got to third year, I've came to agreement with myself to only get things for my family unless any of my friends specifically want something from the UK.
This time round I'm quite happy with the list of things I've decided to bring home:
(i) a variety of cheese (parents love Camembert and Gouda while I've decided to get some Red Leicester, garlic cheese roulade and if possible some other soft cheese)
(ii) investing in some Fossil watches for both dad and mum
(iii)getting a set of Coach bag and purse for mummy
(iv) a shirt for my daddy
Noticed there's nothing for my brothers? That's because they are not gonna be home this time round, really sad about this but that can't be help as they are not having any holidays at the moment. How time flies, we've all grown up!
I really can't wait to be back to re-charge before I return to the UK for my finals preparation! Praying for a safe flight home and also a good 10-hour layover in Dubai!
