So this is a special blog post dedicated to someone who got me interested in the 'youtuber society’ or whatever you call it. ANDDDDDD I JUST HAVE ANNOUNCE THIS SOMEWHERE! JENN IM ADDED ME BACK ON GOOGLE PLUS!!! This is such a pleasant surprise for me when I got home.

I started following Jenn Im, a fashion/ lifestyle youtuber dedicatedly during the stressful post-Easter pre-exam period early this year. This is something really unusual for me as I've NEVER EVER followed someone I don't know personally so religiously. Well, I am a fan of Harry Potter and Jodi Piccoult and Maroon 5, but I've never expected this- waiting for weekly/occasional vlogs/video updates on new tips on styling/monthly favourites/travels or just trying to find out what's new in a youtuber's life.

At first, I was just searching on the youtube engine for how to style white boyfriend t-shirts and I somehow ended in Jenn Im's channel (Clothes Encounters) and ended up falling in love with her personality. She's not tall- and I like it cause I'm not tall and I need tips that I could relate to and adapt it to my own style/height. Besides, she love books!!! That's a plus cause ever since I started dental school, it's been difficult to re-ignite my passion for reading as I've always felt guilty whenever I picked up a book that's not dental related. Listening to Jenn Im talk about her favourite books with so much insights and critical thoughts just makes me want to have a go at reading them too. Of course, there are many other factors that attracted me to her channel I'm sure- like her video editing style, her ever flawless makeup, her ever so extravagant collection of shoes and clothes and accessories and many more, but what attracted me more is her humble personality.

I'm currently following her channel closely and though I'm not a fashionable person, I was inspired by her to put in some thoughts into what I wear. Also, I agree with what Jenn Im always says- at the end of the day, clothes that make you comfortable and happy and matches your mood will always be the best choice. =) By making yourself look nice, it does boost your mood of the day ! I'm rooting for Jenn Im and as I've realised how interesting youtubers can be, I'm keeping my eyes open for new youtubers to subscribe to.
